Faith Works When It’s Put To Work

Feel His Love Each DayDo you ever wonder what Jesus is doing while He is seated at the right hand of God?  He is upholding all things by the ” WORD” of His power!

He is up holding ” THE BLESSINGS” of Abraham. He’s upholding all  of God’s exceedingly great and precious promises. He’s upholding the victory, authority, healing prosperity and abundant life that have been guaranteed to every believer through the New Covenant.

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Hebrews 11:8. Think about this question for a few minutes, What If God were to ask you to give up everything that is familiar and move to another country, what would it be most difficult for you to leave behind?

What if like Abram you were blessed with a greater revelation of God’s presence, would that make it worth giving up everything that is familiar to you? When we step out in faith, even though we don’t understand what God has planned, we will experience a more intimate relationship with him. Is there a change that you feel God is prompting you to make at this time?  If so, spend this week prayerfully considering what actions you need to take.

Maybe God is not asking you to go to another country and give up everything that is familiar to you, like he did of Abraham. Do you know what God is asking of you?  Do you keep saying, “NO” thank you Lord”? Yes, we all have a free will to say, “NO” don’t we?  Consider this if your way has not been working, why keep doing it the same way? Instead, why not make a change? Jesus is standing ready to give you a glorious future that can begin today.

Psalm 100:5 says, “For the Lord is good; His mercy’s everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.” I don’t think that any of us really understand how good God is to us all. When the world rejected His goodness, His everlasting mercy reached out to us. He sent His Son so that we can all rise to a new life that is free of pain and filled with every spiritual blessing.

Take hold of this promise from Gods word today and allow it to transform your thinking. Belief in God’s Word will make a difference in the way that you react to the difficult situations that you meet in life. Instead of allowing disappointments to dominate your thoughts, you can spend quality time in the Word and listen to messages that will help you succeed (Joshua 1:8).

God has an awesome plan for your life that is greater than you can ask or think of. Jeremiah 29:11 (NASB) says, “For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and hope.

No Weapon That Is Formed Against Us Will Prosper

Let God Be God “Don’t Be Afraid Just Believe nothing gets through faith when you keep your shield of faith raised, nothing can hurt you because it can’t get through faith. Why? The faith that’s in you came out of God Himself.

It’s a portion of the same substance He used to create the universe. To get through faith, it would have to go through God. That’s why nothing can get to you. That’s why you can’t be hurt.

First John 5:18 says, “He that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that the wicked one touches him not.” How do you keep yourself? In faith. A  weapon might be launched against you. You might hear the thud of it against the shield, but you won’t feel it. It won’t get through to you.

Ecclesiastes 8:5 says. “Whoso keeps the commandment shall feel no evil thing…you can believe the Scriptures and take them literally, without exception. So put your armor on. Strap on the truth. Take the sword of the Spirit and raise a great big, door-sized shield of faith.

Remember, as long as you’re behind that shield, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall  prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17). And above all, don’t leave home without it!

Follow God’s Path To Your Dreams

Bride and GroomBut if those dreams are divinely  inspired, hope is far from lost. When we  focus on  finding our personal path while nurturing a closer relationship with God and Jesus Christ.  God wants  us to succeed no matter who we are or where we come from.

Godgiven dreams have no expiration dates, you are important to God, and your dreams and visionary-style thinking may affect future generations.  “Somebody is going to succeed why not you?” You can experience real joy, fulfillment, and success by following God’s path to your dreams. Dreaming is wonderful. Doing is better. When we decide to follow the teachings of Jesus and the Bible, it is also a decision to change our mental strategies.

Before, we followed Jesus’s teachings we didn’t understand spiritual concepts like faith. But after we accepted Christ and choose to have a personal relationship with him, we begin to get a clearer picture of what it means to think God’s way, to trust Him and start living by the teachings in His Word. When you accept God’s call on your life He will drop ideas  and dreams that my seem way beyond your capabilities.  You can choose to  keep them in your dream file or you can decide to “reboot” your mind so to speak and actually consider that the dream could come to pass.

You see, daydreams are idle thoughts. They can be fun. The can be forms of escape. But mental maps are the kind of thoughts that have purpose and direction. They’re the thoughts with intent, thoughts that are actually taking you somewhere that you want to go. You could call them “determined thoughts.” There are also God-thoughts which can be a thought about you or about reaching more people for Him.

Determined thoughts produce ideas and those thoughts produce actions, combined with faith in God, trust in His Word, and never give up is what will draw your dream to reality. Many people wonder thought life with big dreams, but they don’t have determined thoughts. Start doing what it takes and move your dream to reality. The Apostle Paul put it this way. He said, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting, those things which are behind,  and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark  for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14).

Paul deliberately dismissed what was behind him and pressed forward in his “mark”or goal toward the prize that was in front of him, which was the high calling of Jesus Christ. This may be your mark too, if you are a preacher of the gospel or your mark may be in another area of life. It doesn’t matter. This is a principle that you can use in whatever sector of life you’re in,  forget about the past, focus on your future, and keep pressing in.
